Murals are 8 ft X 4 ft paintings incorporating multimedia without the 3 dimensional sculptural component that distinguishes installations.

The subjects are rigid and angular figures, set in energetic landscapes.

The illusion is routinely disrupted by overt indications of the creative process.

Thresholds is comprised solely of doors.

A doorway is a transitory space. It demarks a separation between two disparate realities.

It represents an opportunity for change, a decision.

Left Over Art is also often referred to as Recycled Art.

In the process of creating long-term projects, I generate a lot of refuse. I  collect these scraps and pull them together in vignettes of various sizes.

I use discarded artifacts in my work to reference the things that people leave behind or hide from: I find that decay and ruin have symbolic and aesthetic beauty.

Conceptually I aspire to remind the viewer that our detritus defines us as much as our treasure.

Small to medium scale two-dimensional paintings; comprised of an amalgam of mediums including oil paint, acrylic paint, pencil, charcoal, pastel, and paper collage.
